(Multi channel)
Silent Theatre

Interactive theater experiences with multi-channel audio

Silent Theater combines theater, storytelling, and multi-channel audio into a collective experience.

Participants receive individual instructions, roles, or perspectives via headphones—while becoming part of a production together.

Depending on the format, individual groups act actively while others listen, or all participants are animated simultaneously.

Short & Sweet

  • Format: Interactive theater and storytelling experiences with headphones

  • Technology: Up to 10 parallel audio channels

  • Roles: Active participants and listeners possible

  • Content: Fictional, documentary, or brand-related

  • Location: Indoor and outdoor

  • Use: Events, team building, cultural and brand formats

What is silent theatre?

Silent Theater is not classical theater with a stage and an audience. Instead, multiple perspectives overlap in the space at the same time - controlled by audio.

Participants hear:

  • individual instructions

  • different stories

  • or specific roles within a shared plot

From the outside, the action often seems mysterious – but for those involved, it creates an intense, synchronous experience.

Possible game & story formats

Shared story, different roles
All participants move within the same narrative, but hear different tasks or perspectives.
Ideal for team building and cooperative formats where collaboration is crucial.

Parallel stories
Up to 10 groups hear completely different stories – without knowing that others are experiencing something completely different.
The actions complement, overlap, or influence each other.

Hybrid formats
A mixture of shared action and individual narratives – flexibly adaptable to the target group and occasion.

Proof of Concept: Weihnachts-Geschichte

As a reference, there is an existing Christmas format:

  • 5 channels for active participants who act out a story

  • 1 audience channel that hears a different story

  • Both groups are unaware of the discrepancy

  • At the end, the resolution is revealed and the roles are swapped

The result: surprise, humor, and a shared moment that will be remembered for a long time.

Contents & Areas of Application

The contents are developed entirely on an individual basis. Possible approaches:

  • Company and brand stories

  • Team-building formats with roles and conflicting goals

  • Fictional narratives for entertainment

  • Historical content for museums, exhibitions, or city festivals

  • Special formats related to specific locations or occasions

Whether serious, playful, or experimental—the format adapts to the content, not the other way around.

Use & Integration

  • Corporate events & offsites

  • Team building & leadership formats

  • Cultural & museum projects

  • City festivals & celebrations

  • Brand & experience formats

Silent theater can be a central program item or a deliberately provocative element within a larger event.
